The statement further highlighted that, in diplomatic engagements with Iran over several years, Pakistan consistently expressed serious concerns about safe havens and sanctuaries utilized by terrorists of Pakistani origin, self-identifying as 'Sarmachars,' in ungoverned spaces within Iran.
On Thursday, Pakistan conducted strikes against "terrorist hideouts" in Iran as a response to the attack on the Balochi group Jaish al-Adl's headquarters in Pakistani territory. Pakistan's Foreign Ministry reported that "a number of terrorists" were killed during the intelligence-based operation codenamed "Marg Bar Sarmachar."
