Palworld Reviews Are Mostly Positive — Especially If You Fantasize About Abusing Pokemon

Palworld Reviews Are Mostly Positive — Especially If You Fantasize About Abusing Pokemon

The reviews are in for Palworld upon the peculiar survival game’s early access release and it seems like most gamers are disturbed.

To begin with, it's important to clarify that the creatures in Palworld are not Pokémon. Initially, the game drew both fascination and criticism for its overt imitation of Pocket Monsters. Each creature in Palworld appears as though two Pokémon were combined against their will in a laboratory, and the developers didn't make much effort to conceal this; in fact, it seems intentional.

                                                FOR APK       AND      FOR PC

Palworld is essentially an open-world survival game in which you capture these distinctly non-Pokémon creatures to carry out various tasks. These tasks range from transporting you to new locations, defending your base, to even tending to your crops. Remarkably, the developers seem to embrace a narrative where adorable Pokémon-like creatures are openly subjected to mistreatment and exploitation within the game's mechanics.

Certain players are expressing enthusiasm over the inclusion of creatures reminiscent of Pokémon in the game, attributing their excitement to the perceived shortcomings of official Pokémon offerings. PC Gamer commented, "Palworld might have me traversing a generic Unreal 5 landscape atop a imitation Charizard, but for a fleeting moment, it offers a glimpse into what an open-world Pokémon experience could entail: one that doesn't fade in and out of existence whenever you dare to make a move."
